Alexandria Reyes | Attorney

Alexandria Reyes (more commonly known as "Alex") is from St. Paul, MN, and is a proud alum of St. Paul Central High School. After high school, she went to college and law school at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.

Alex is currently an associate at the law firm of Blackwell Burke P.A., where she represents clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, including products liability defense, contract disputes, and business torts. Pro bono service is also an important part of Alex’s practice. She represented an unaccompanied minor in immigration and related state court proceedings through an amazing organization called KIND (Kids in Need of Defense). She also represented a mentally disabled U.S. citizen in lawsuits involving his wrongful and illegal detention and deportation to Mexico.

Prior to joining Blackwell Burke, Alex practiced for seven years at the law firm of Troutman Sanders LLP in Atlanta, Georgia. She just recently relocated back to the Twin Cities earlier this year, and is thrilled to be back home!

Alex is very passionate about helping young people, especially people of color, pursue their education. She is one of the co-organizers of Central Honors Philando, a community event and fundraiser for the Philando Castile Memorial Scholarship through the St. Paul Central High School Foundation. She also serves on the board of LaAmistad, Inc., an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization that works to empower Latino students and their families through after school tutoring, ESL courses, and summer camps; serves on the Alumni Council for her alma mater, Wake Forest University; and is president of the local Wake Forest alumni club.

Alex is excited to continue to become further reintegrated into the Twin Cities community and continue getting to know how she can contribute to her hometown as an adult, as a professional, and as a person of color.
